Finnebrogue Is Launching Plant-Based Food Range

UK's leading artisan food producer Finnebrogue has released a new plant-based food range under its brand Naked.

The new Naked range includes "made without the moo" burgers, meatballs and mince as well as "made without the oink" sausages.

The sausages are made from white and oyster mushrooms. The products are a great source of protein, high in fibre and free from allergens.

Described as "good for you and good for the planet" and the brand is designed to appeal to flexitarians and all those who want to ditch meat.

"We believe in producing gorgeous food which is good for you and for the planet," said Finnebrogue chairman Denis Lynn.

"After a lot of hard work, we have now created a delicious plant-based range that is packed with flavour and succulence and provides the no-compromise alternative to meat that so many millions of flexitarians have been crying out for."

The move is "game-changing" for this Northern Ireland meat processing company.

In 2019, Finnebrogue announced the opening of a £3m meat-free factory to capitalise on the growing demand for vegan and vegetarian alternatives.

Naked brand boosted the company's growth, with turnover expected to be £120m in 2020, compared to £75m two years ago.
