The entire range of Galaxy chocolate bars has been delisted from all three big retailers including Tesco, Morrisons and Saisnury's, according to The Grocer. The media outlet revealed the news today.
The range of products that dissapeard from the supermarkets includes Galaxy vegan, Bounty Vegan and Topic Vegan - all products are made by confectionary giant Mars.
The supermarkets confirmed they had delisted the range.
A spokeswoman for Sainsbury’s, told The Grocer: “We regularly review our ranges and this will be based on a range of factors.”
Morissons was selling Galaxy range at discounted prices in recent weeks but a spokeswoman for retailer told The Grocer that they will no longer stock the products as they did not meet the criteria of their health and wellbeing category of free-from.
According to The Grocers the delisting caused confusion among the customers, with many complaining on social media they could no longer find their favourite bars.
A Mars spokeswoman said Galaxy Vegan “has been enormously successful since launch and has surpassed our high pre-launch expectations”.
“We’re proud that our vegan portfolio has significantly boosted category growth for our customers and of the fact that we currently have the top two performing SKUs,” she said.
