British confectionery business Pure Heavenly Chocolate - a revolutionary dairy free chocolate with only 1.2% sugar - achieved tremendous YTD growth of 262% amid the release of their new dark chocolate range!

Pure Heavenly appeared on BBC’s Dragons’ Den in 2019 receiving 3 offers and being praised by Peter Jones as “the best chocolate I’ve tried in a long time”. Despite this, founder Stephen Conway, decided to reject the offer and go it alone due to the contract terms. However, the business continues to go from strength to strength thanks to their loyal following and unique offering.

Stephen was inspired to create Pure Heavenly for his daughters, who are both dairy and gluten intolerant. He also understood the impact that sugar, dairy and gluten, can have on our health. With Sophie & Lucy being the willing tasting panel, they set out to create a chocolate everyone could enjoy. Pure Heavenly chocolate was the result and we now have thousands of loyal customers and 7,000 reviews on TrustPilot with an excellent rating.

After the success of their rice milk-based chocolate range, Pure Heavenly are back with 8 delicious newly released flavours. Of the 8 new flavours, 5 have gained a stellar reaction from consumers achieving a 5-star TrustPilot rating; Dark Cherry, Dark Ginger, Dark Raspberry, Dark Mint & Dark Orange. The other 3 - Dark, Dark Coffee, Dark Sea Salt - have obtained an excellent 4-star rating too!

On the success and popularity of the new range, Stephen says “It can be quite daunting to turn down the Dragons’ offer, but I believed in my vision - of making delicious chocolate for everyone to enjoy - too much to compromise it for investment. Again, it’s equally daunting bringing a new product to the market so I’m ecstatic that all 8 flavours have received such positive feedback from our consumers so far. It’s what inspires me and my team to keep pushing forward to give consumers more of what they want.”

Recognising a part of their audience are diabetic due to the attraction of the low sugar content, Pure Heavenly plan to give back by partnering with Diabetes.org during diabetes awareness week (14-20th June) to donate 5% of revenue to the charity.

As 2021 continues, Pure Heavenly have exciting plans for more new products and whilst they have shown there is life after Dragons’ Den, their story is just at the beginning....
