Scottish Chippy Has Launched A Vegan Meal

A popular fish and chips shop in Glasgow launched its first-ever vegan sausage meal for Veganuary. 

The Blue Lagoon started serving the plant-based dish today.

The meal features plant-based sausages, coated in vegan-friendly batter, and fried in vegan oil. The meal will be served with a side of vegan-friendly chips.

Alessandro Varese director of Blue Lagoon said: “As of today our Argyle street Glasgow branch will have a vegan sausage supper on the menu.This will be completely plant-based sausages coated in vegan-friendly batter, fried in vegan-friendly oil and served with vegan-friendly chips."

"We believe we may be one of the first operators to sell such a dish. And we're very excited to see what the response from our customers is.” - he added.

January is the most popular month of the year for people to go vegan and many restaurants across the UK prepare a special vegan menu for that time.
