The dairy company behind Applewood brand is launching a vegan version of its Mexicana cheese.
Norway based Norseland, announced the dairy-free Mexicana cheese would roll out this summer.
The new vegan cheese is super melty and spicy, which makes it perfect for pizzas, nachos and quesadillas.
Mexicana Vegan is free-from lactose, milk, eggs, soy, nuts, and gluten. The cheese is flavoured with a mix of spices, bell and jalapeño peppers, and it is fortified with vitamin B12 and calcium.
Lisa Harrison, Senior Brand Manager for Mexicana, said: “Our taste panel of spicy cheese enthusiasts are already hooked on it, because it’s super-stringy when it melts and has all of the flavor of Mexicana, including a nice spicy kick.”
According to Just Food, the cheese will cost £2.30 per block. It is set to launch in stores around the UK this summer.
