On the World Chocolate Day, let's take some time to look at the best vegan chocolates on the market!
On the World Chocolate Day, let's take some time to look at the best vegan chocolates on the market!
There are hundreds of plant-based chocolates on the market, and here at TVK we have tasted our fair share of them (for research purposes, we swear), so we can definitely give some solid recommendations.
‘Milk’ Chocolate
If you are looking for a delicious, creamy ‘milk’ chocolate, then look no further than the Rhythm 108 - Organic Swiss Made M'lk & Hazelnut Truffle bar. Made in Switzerland, this ‘milk’ chocolate bar is pure indulgence, and is incredibly popular for a reason! It gets our vote.
Special mentions must go out to the HiP - Creamy & Smooth Oat Milk Chocolate, and the NOMO - Vegan Creamy Chocolate Bar. Both very strong contenders, but not quite strong enough to take the plant-based crown from Rhythm 108.
White Chocolate
White chocolate is definitely a hit or miss for some, but if you’re a fan you have to make sure that you try the Happi - Oat M!lk White Chocolate Bar. Creamy and sweet – but not too sweet – it’s made from 37% single-origin Colombian cacao and is guaranteed slavery-free.
As well as this, it uses fully sustainable packaging and 1% of net annual sales are donated to mental health and environmental organisations, which means it’s good for your taste buds and good for... well, everyone else!
Filled chocolate
Filled plant-based chocolates are all the rage these days, with fillings ranging from hazelnut cream to vanilla!
Without a doubt, one of the most popular plant-based chocolate bars of recent times is the Love Raw - Cre&m Filled Chocolate Wafer Bar! Deliciously crunchy, light and moreish, they are so hard to put down!
If you are looking for something a bit more jazzy, with a nice contrast of flavours then look no further than the Enjoy Chocolate - Vanilla Caramel Filled Chocolate Bar. Made with 70% Dark Chocolate, and filled with beautiful Madagascan vanilla, it’s sure to be a winner.
Flavoured chocolate
It’s a controversial statement, but sometimes chocolate can be boring – I know, I know, I’m sorry. However, there’s an easy fix for that – just chuck in a little flavour!
For example, the Tony's Chocolonely - Belgian Fairtrade Dark Chocolate Mint Candy Cane Bar, a mint flavoured chocolate bar with added candy canes just for good measure? The furthest thing from boring!
Or what about the Moo Free - Mini Moo Orange? A perfect zesty vegan chocolate treat for the young uns’, and for the big uns’ there’s always the Galaxy - Vegan Smooth Orange Bar - which has been delisted from large supermarket retailers including Tesco, Morrisons, and Sainsbury’s, but is still available to buy online at TVK! Not to brag or anything...
Nut filled chocolate
If you’re a fan of nuts in chocolate, then the Vego - Large Organic Whole Hazelnut Chocolate Bar is the one for you!
Creamy, thick, crunchy, nutty – I’m salivating at the thought of it. The Italian brand is still one of the most popular vegan chocolate brands to this day, and you’ll understand why with just one bite of this delicious bar.
Boxes
They say life is like a box of chocolate because you just don’t know what you’re going to get – but this couldn’t be further from the truth with the Booja Booja - Award-Winning Selection Box of 16 Mixed Organic Chocolate Truffles.
You know that you are going to be getting beautiful, hand crafted delicious vegan truffles that take you on a taste adventure in every single box!
