What is Turmeric Powder?

Turmeric powder is the most important ingredient in many Indian recipes, giving it its distinctive, vibrant colour.

Turmeric comes from the Curcuma longa plant, which grows in India and other Southeast Asian countries. The dried root of the Curcuma longa plant is ground into the distinctive yellow turmeric powder.

Instructions:

Add small amounts to curries, stews, soups, baked goods, pancakes, hot beverages, cereal, porridge, smoothies, yoghurt, desserts or even ice cream! Brew into a tea and add to chai latte.

Storage Instructions:

Store in a cool dry place, away from direct sunlight, heat and damp. Reseal when no longer in use or move to an airtight container.
