This is a cold-pressed oil which means the extra virgin coconut flesh is free from chemicals and kept unrefined by pressing without the use of heat as this lowers the quality of the oil that is extracted and makes it both less nutritious and less flavour too. By using a cold press, Coconut Merchant are able to offer you the highest quality product with maximum taste and nutrition.
Coconut oil is rich in Medium Chain Triglycerides (MCT), which are used to make energy in the liver. Because its naturally high in lauric acid, sugar free, has 0% cholesterol and no carbohydrates, its perfect for vegan and ketogenic (keto) diets.
Because Coconut Merchant ethically sources their materials - £2 goes directly to farmers for every litre of their oil sold. They buy their coconuts directly from farmers and work to create jobs in local communities and going one extra, no monkeys are used in harvesting their coconuts either!
