How to surprise your guests and keep them longer at your BBQ party? Here are some tips!
Seasoning and serving your plant-based meat
Spice up your dish! Add interesting seasonings to your plant-based protein, add herbs and spices or marinate it with garlic, olive oil, vinegar, salt and pepper. Top tip from Beyond Meat: Marinate your plant-based meat after you cook it. Simply soak the plant-based burger in a sauce after it’s been grilled, then reheat it on the grill just before serving. This will make you vegan burger full of flavour!
Serving plant-based meat
How to serve plant-based meat? Build your gorgeous vegan barbecue table around and decorate it with effective bud vases with single stem flowers. Serve the grilled plant-based meat on a plater raised on several plinths. This way, all the guests will have easy access to it. Pair it with some side dishes like fresh salads and grilled veggies.
Pairing with condiments
Grilled plant-based meats and sausages go well with chutneys and pickles. You will offer your BBQ guests a perfect combination of flavours if you pair meat-free burgers with vegan condiments and sauces like mango chutney, onion chutney, speciality ketchup like beetroot ketchup or rhubarb ketchup.
Get creative
Surprise your guests! Mix and match plates and different colours, use different glasses, use interesting ornaments or even display half sliced fruit and veg as decor to make your table more visually appealing - this will add a pop of colour and texture to your table and won’t cost a lot! And the fruit will make a great and healthy desert option for your guests.
Make your own decoration
If you haven’t got cloth napkins then why not make your own by cutting out 40 cm x 40 cm squares out of old fabric and fold them into knots. Haven’t got any cool objects? Then why not paint funky coloured patterns onto white candlesticks. You can easily find a lot of inspiration and quick DIY tutorials online. Don’t be afraid to mix and match colours, textures and tones (just like you do with your food) - there is no right or wrong way when creating your summer BBQ table!
