Major sandwich chain Pret a Manger is opening seven new Veggie Pret shops in London this summer.
With the new locations the number of Veggie Pret branches will go up to 14 in the UK.
The chain currently operates 13 locations in London including six Veggie Prets in Soho, Canary Wharf, and other locations in the centre of London, as well as one in Manchester’s Deansgate.
The new Veggie Pret branches will open in locations such as Westminster, Liverpool Street, and Bank, among others.
Additionally, Pret is also introducing the biggest menu modernisation in 33 years, and 19 of the new recipes will be exclusive to Veggie Pret to keep up with growing demand for vegan options.
The chain was founded over 30 years ago and quickly became known for its original sandwiches with fillings such as avocado.
Today, Pret a Manger is one of the most successful sandwich businesses in the UK and is currently valued at around £1.5 billion.
The company is owned by German conglomerate JAB Holdings, which is controlled by one of the richest families in the world.
