Vegan Seafood Brand Donates Over $210,000 Worth Of Food To Those In Need During Crisis

American plant-based seafood brand Sophie's Kitchen has donated food products worth $210,829 to those in need amid the coronavirus crisis.
The company's CEO Miles Woodruff delivered 374 cases (4,500 cans) of vegan 'toona'- and has pledged to donate further 2,9000 cases to food banks in San Francisco.
Woodruff wrote on his Instagram: "While we all Netflix and chill our way through the next few weeks please remember we have an amazing excuse to do good and help people out right now."
He urged his followers to support projects including Second Harvest of Silicon Valley, the Food Bank of Contra Costa & Solano and the Jane Goodall Institute.
In another post, he added: "I'm okay with taking this pandemic too seriously. I don't want to look back and wish I had done more. Let's set off a wave of good within our sphere of influence during this time of social distancing."
Sophie's Kitchen also commented on their boss's actions: "We're so proud to have a company and leader who gives back so generously and brings tasty AF (as fish) Toona to those in need."
