Squeaky Bean, producer of the UK’s most loved vegan pastrami style slices, is adding new ready-to-eat Spicy Pepperoni Style Slices to its range.
Squeaky Bean, producer of the UK’s most loved pastrami style slices, is taking a slice of another takeaway classic by adding new ready-to-eat Spicy Pepperoni Style Slices to its range.
A chilled meat alternative to one of the most popular pizza toppings, Pepperoni Style Slices follows the launch of Squeaky Bean Doner Spiced Beef Style and Shawarma Chicken Style Kebabs earlier this month.
The brand new Squeaky Bean Spicy Pepperoni Style Slices will retail for £2.50 for 90g and will be available nationwide starting today (27th April).
Squeaky Bean’s version of the pizza topping is 100% vegan, made with wheat and pea protein, chilli flakes and smoked paprika. It is high in protein and replicating the texture of real Pepperoni. It perfectly mimics the flavour much loved classic and is a perfect pizza topper but can also be used in sandwiches, wraps or eaten straight from the pack as a snack.
Sarah Augustine, brand manager at Squeaky Bean, told The Vegan Kind: “Our fans speak and Squeaky Bean delivers! They told us they’d love to try a Squeaky version of a pepperoni pizza topping! We think it’s so good, it’ll probably be gone by the time the pizza oven pings”.
She added: “Fans tell us regularly that they choose Squeaky Bean because they love the epic taste and texture of our products, so much so that they often eat it straight from the pack!”
Squeaky Bean is all about vegan food because you want to - uncompromising taste and texture that delivers seriously craveable food for those ultimate fridge to face moments.” she continued.
New data reveals 58% now use plant-based meat alternatives in their diets, while 46% intend to cut their intake of animal products in the future.
Squeaky Bean has seen a considerable increase in sales over the past year, with market share rising 7% for its sandwich slices and a huge 70-80% for its plant-based meat alternative pieces.
