Vegan Food: M&S launch range of vegan lunches

It doesn't seem so very long ago that I was chatting to a friend, wistfully sighing about how wonderful it would be to be able to walk into a shop and simply buy a ready made sandwich for lunch. At the time, it seemed like a pipe dream that would never be a reality - there's not a single supermarket or high street retailer at the time that offered anything other than the usual selection of sandwiches laden with butter, cheese or meat.
Fast forward a few years, and how different the world looks. Boots, Pret, Tesco, Sainsburys, WH Smith - the choices for vegan sandwiches on the go are bountiful, and now good old M&S have jumped on the bandwagon, launching a new range of vegetarian and vegan lunches.
The range consists of two sandwiches; the Super Green sandwich is made up of edamame and minted pea with chia and linseed bread, and the Rainbow Veg sandwich is roasted vegetables and avocado with pumpkin seeds in red pepper bread and both retail at £2.50 each.
Alongside the sandwiches, M&S has also introduced three new veggie pots – two of which are vegan: the Nutty Cauliflower Trio Veggie Pot and the Glorious Greens & Seeds Veggie Pot, which retail for £2.
