A vegan delivery company allplants has raised £2 million in just 48 hours on Seedrs backed by over 800 investors.

The investors include prominent VCs like Octopus Ventures, Felix Capital, and Seek Ventures, and high profile founders of JustGiving and Bulb Energy, joined by prominent individuals Anne-Maire Huby, Co-founder of JustGiving, and Amit Gudkha, Co-Founder of Bulb Energy.

Allplants company was founded  in 2017 by brothers Jonathan and Alex Petrides.

Initially, the pair raised £800,000 from friends, family, angel investors and VC firm Felix Capital to start the business.

They also raised £7.5 million of funding in September 2018, which was the largest seed-round raised by a plant-based food company in Europe.

The business reports that it has served 1 million plant-based meals since then.

Every week allplants cooks more than 20,000 vegan meals.

The company plans to add new food categories, and develop a new 20,000 square feet  production kitchen in London to be able to serve over 60,000 meals a week.

Jonathan ‘JP’ Petrides, Founder and CEO said: “With this investment, we will continue to fuel the plant-based movement.”

The investors believe the company has the ability to build a global brand.

Antoine Nussenbaum, Partner at Felix Capital, said: “We have been lucky to partner with the allplants team early in their journey, three years ago. JP and Alex are on an authentic mission to build a category defining brand within the plant-based movement. We have been impressed by the journey so far materialised by clear customer love and are excited about the ambitious plans ahead.”

The company plans a bigger Series B for the end of 2020.
