Vegan cheese is a hot topic nowadays - everyone's got an opinion! Meat-eaters are sceptical, vegetarians can't imagine a life without dairy, and vegans - well we have cheese that we love, and ones that we're not so fond of. The art of making vegan cheese is an ever-evolving one, and bigger and better products are being released all the time.

Before you form your own opinion - you need to try all that the vegan cheese world has to offer! And what better introduction than to peruse the huge variety of cheese-style slices?

A tried and tested vegan cheese brand, Violife not only tastes good, but it has a deliciously creamy texture that is similar to real cheese. Violife cheese-style slices come in so many different varieties, including Cheddar, Tomato & Basil, Hot Pepper, Original and even Pizza flavour!

Although Violife is stocked by most major supermarkets, you won't find this huge variety of flavours in your local Tesco or Sainsbury's. Good thing it's so easy to buy vegan cheese online!

Crafted by Bute Island Foods, Sheese is an award-winning Scottish brand of dairy free cheese, known for their vegan creamy cheese spreads, dairy free blocks, and of course their cheese-style slices! Sheese cheese slices come in Mature Cheddar, Mozzarella-style and Mild Cheddar flavours.

An absolute fan-favourite in the vegan cheese world is Follow Your Heart, the same brand responsible for Vegenaise and the VeganEgg. Follow Your Heart only make a few flavours of non-dairy cheese slices, but they're absolutely showstoppers: Pepper Jack, Smoked Gouda and Medium Cheddar!

Still not satisfied? The list is practically endless, but we'll wrap things up with a few more brands. MozzaRisella, Green Vie and Tofutti all focus on other types of vegan cheese, like creamy spreads or tasty blocks. But they have dabbled in dairy free cheese slices as well - such as MozzaRisella's Basil slices, Green Vie's Gouda slices and Tofutti's Mozzarella slices.

Whatever your tastes and whatever your diet, we're confident you'll find a brand and flavour of vegan cheese slices that you'll adore. After all, going vegan doesn't mean limiting yourself, it simply means finding kinder ways to enjoy the foods you love. You can still have your sandwiches, burgers, toasties and more - just with cruelty free slices instead! Vegan cheese has come a long way and is still absolutely brimming with potential.
