Vegan Butcher Has Launched Plant-based Christmas Dinner Box

This year's vegan Christmas dinner might be a little bit easier!

Rudy's, the first vegan butcher shop in the UK has launched a box with plant-based meats and roast perfect for Christmas dinner. 

The box containing plant-based seitan turkey Turk'y packed with soysage stuffing and all the traditional side dishes will feed a family of 4 and costs £55.

The first boxes sold out within an hour. From now, they will be now available every Sunday until Christmas.

The Christmas seitan Turk'y roll is made with cranberries and hazelnuts, packed with soysage stuffing accompanied by a generous serving of gravy with fresh rosemary, thyme and garlic. Every box features the ultimate Christmas dinner side dishes including King Edward potatoes, parsnips, carrots, Brussel sprouts with baycon bits.

The box includes some plant-based meat extras such as pastrami, seasonally spiced Christmas ham, meat-free meatballs, and a meatloaf, wrapped in crispy puff pastry.

Each box also contains popped water lily seeds in three flavours; dark chocolate and raspberry, paprika and Provençal herbs, or the Cheezy vegan.

Rudy's Vegan Butcher is the first permanent vegan meat shop in the UK. It opened its doors, for the first time on World Vegan Day. The shop is located in Islington, north London. It sells plant-based versions of bacon, pork and chicken, all made from seitan and soy protein.

The shop offers vegan pastrami, plant-based burger patties, cheeze sauce & chilli-non-carne, as well as a rack of jack, lobstah salad, meatballs, chick'n lover pate and shredded BBQ pulled porc.

On an opening day the shop sold out within the first hour and received more than 100 online orders in the first ten minutes.
