Vegan Brand Donates 20,000 Plant-Based Sausages To NHS Staff

UK brand The Meatless Farm Co. has announced that it will donate 20,000 vegan sausages to National Health Service staff amid the COVID 19 pandemic. 

The company wrote on Instagram that it would pack the sausages into food boxes which can be picked up by the staff at the end of their shift. There will also be pop-cafes where the NHS staff can get free breakfast. 

The donation is a part of campaign Help NHS Heroes, an initiative that aims to help NHS staff and provide them with essential food items.

Jason Mawer, Founder of Help NHS Heroes, said: "The initial support from companies like Meatless Farm is invaluable. We have had many messages of thanks and expressions of relief about the on-site access from our NHS heroes and we are committed to making this work on a national basis."
