Vegan Arancini Balls & More - New Plant-based Products Roundup

Vegan cheese brand, Sheese, las launched the ‘first’ plant-based arancini balls in the UK.

The company says their tomato and mozzarella flavour rice balls are the first vegan arancini on the UK market. They are soya-free and suitable for vegans and vegetarians.

Nigel White of Bute Island Foods, the owner company of Sheese, said: “We listen to what our customers want on their plates and, with more and more people wanting to try alternatives to dairy, as well as the growing number of people in the UK who follow a plant-based diet, we decided bring a unique, truly delicious and exciting new product to UK shoppers. And it couldn’t have been aran-sheesier!”

Sheese’s Sheesy Aranacini Balls will be available in 200g packs of eight balls priced at £4 from September.

Plant-based brand Nurishh has launched two new varieties of vegan cheese to its range. The brand new garlic and herb spread and parmesan-style cheese alternative will be available to buy online starting this month. 

Plant Based Garlic & Herbs Spread and Gran Vegiano are ‘ideal for coming together with family and friends to enjoy flavourful food’ during the warm weather.'

The vegan cream cheese spread has a strong garlic and herbs flavour. It is made from sunflower seeds and bamboo fibre, containing a lot of plant-based protein and calcium and fortified with vitamin B12.

The dairy-free Gran Vegiano is grated and has a mouth-watering cheesy flavour. It's made using only natural colours and flavourings. The vegan parmesan cheese was designed to be used for pizza and pasta.
