UK vegan startup Minor Figures rolled out its ready-to-drink plant-based canned beverages in the United States last month.
The drinks feature brew of specialty coffee or tea mixed with the oat milk. The range includes four flavours Latte, Chai Latte, Matcha Latte, and Mocha.
Mocha is made with coffee, cocoa and oat milk. Matcha is made with green tea brew and oat milk. Chai features spiced black tea with oat milk and Latte is simply black coffee with oat milk.
The drinks are suitable for vegans and contain no animal products. The packaging sustainable and 100% recyclable with beautiful art work by Andrew Rae.
Currently, the company does not plan to launch black canned coffee in the United States at this time, due to differences in consumer preferences. The European version of the coffee may be too bitter for American consumers.
London-based alternative milk startup launched its first canned coffee and oat milk drinks in the UK three years ago, following the launch in Europe, Asia and Australia a year later.
The company is expanding into coffee roasting and says it will shift the coffee roasting process entirely in-house by the end of this year. In 2020 Minor Figures achieved 100% carbon neutrality through offset.
