TVK Blog: August

Welcome to our inaugural Vegan Kind blog, where each month we’ll keep you up to date with all the exciting goings-on at Team TVK HQ. August was an action packed month for us, indeed! After literally years in the making, we were finally able to have a fun-yet-safe staff get together, we attended our first Vegan Camp Out, soft launched our new branding, and much more!

Believe it or not, summer still rages on. Grab some barbecue essentials and make the most of these long(ish) days while you can! Make your visit to TheVeganKind Supermarket a one-stop-shop with our Household Staples collection, plus, our hugely popular Accidentally Vegan range goes from strength to strength with a host of new and exciting products recently added - have a little peek and you just might find yourself thinking, “no way, this is vegan too?! Yesss.”

Our long awaited staff get-together was finally able to go ahead in as covid safe manner as possible, once restrictions had been relaxed. The wonderful Trusty Bucks provided scrumptious burgers and fries from their mobile truck parked outside, which went down an absolute storm! 

We created a large open space in the warehouse and had a fun evening together full of laughter, games, chat, music, and funky dance moves. Our resident music man Leo had a banging DJ and lights system rigged up, and several staff members took turns at playing a set.

It was great for us all to meet up in a relaxed, non-work setting, especially for all our home based workers - many had never even met outside of a zoom call! Our business has expanded a lot in recent years, so it was a special moment to see how much we’d grown as a team, all united in the vegan cause!

Vegan Camp Out in Nottinghamshire was at the end of the month and we had a TVK tent set up to serve all the hungry campers with plant-based snacks and essentials. With queues sometimes as long as 50 people deep, it’s fair to say it was a raging success! Georgia, Rhona, Morgan, Heather, Laura & Mark were at the festival all weekend and did a phenomenal job keeping the party vibes going. We’ll for sure be back next year - bigger and bolder!
