Geoff Grewcock from Warwickshire uses his own pension to save thousands of animals.
The 69-year-old former security guard retired in 2001 and started transforming his garden in Nuneaton into a wildlife sanctuary. In the same year he founded the Nuneaton and Warwickshire Wildlife Sanctuary.
Till now, Geoff has helped 62,000 animals. From badgers to swans and foxes, he has nursed them all back to health.
Many of them have been released back into the wild.
The sanctuary relies on additional donations. Anyone who would like to support Geoff and his work can do so by visiting the sanctuary’s page on Facebook.
