THIS Has Sold Over 3 Million Portions Of Vegan Meat
UK plant-based meat brand THIS has revealed that it sold more than 3 million portions of vegan meat in less than a year.
THIS, which produces vegan bacon and chicken (THIS Isn't Bacon, and THIS Isn't Chicken) from soy and pea protein, was launched in June 2019 Andy Shovel and Pete Sharman.
The company has reported a growth of 35 per cent month-on-month since its inception, making it one of the fastest-growing food businesses in the UK.
THIS's plant-based meats are available in more than 1200 shops across the UK, including TheVeganKind Supermarket.
The products are also served in restaurants chains such as Honest Burger and Coco Di Mama.
THIS says the company has seen increased demand during the COVID-19 crisis.The company's supermarket revenue doubled from February to March.
The co-founder of THIS Andy Shovel said: "Ain't no pandemic going to keep THIS down."
Following the success, the company has donated more than a ton of food for those in need during the crisis.
