Spring is here, yay! We’ve survived through the darker days by eating rich, comforting, calorie-dense foods, but now is the time to lighten things up a bit - spring clean our bodies at the same time we spring clean our homes!
Spring is here and the sun has finally returned, yay! Everyone has a little extra pep in their step and can finally look forward to a warm, fun-filled summer and put the long, cold winter behind us. We’ve been surviving through these darker days by eating rich, comforting, calorie-dense foods, but now is the time to lighten things up a bit - spring clean our bodies at the same time we spring clean our homes!

What will make you feel at your absolute best during this post-winter period? We believe a vegan diet is the best choice for your mind and body all your round, but especially during spring. Eating plant-based, which is generally lower in fat than meat and dairy-based diets, allows you to lose weight easier and feel light and healthy as you get your body summer fit via the gym and sports. Swapping meat and dairy products for their vegan versions (vegan meat and dairy) is a great start, but going fully plant-based is often an opportunity for people to learn more about exactly what goes into our bodies. One can discover how food is prepared, the calorie content, and how nutritional good it is, therefore, allowing us to make better, healthier choices going forward.

Make use of what’s in season and avoid any artificially grown produce - this way you can enjoy vegetables at their absolute tastiest, freshest, ripest, sweetest, and most nutritionally rich! Buying seasonal fresh veg also saves you money and helps the environment since they are less likely to have been shipped from abroad. Costs can be kept low, and less energy is wasted for transportation. So, all that’s left to do now is roll your sleeves up and get creative in the kitchen. 👩🍳

What better way to use up all those delicious in-season vegetables than a light-yet-filling, nutritious spring vegan soup? Add in as little or as much veg as you like. We recommend sprinkling some mixed seeds on top. Don't forget, the golden rule for spring soup is: the greener, the better!
