One of the favourite Xmas staples are Pigs in blankets, and this year we are lucky to be able to try them in Subway!
Christmas is around the corner, and it's time to enjoy vegan Christmas food! One of the favourite Xmas staples are Pigs in blankets, and this year we are lucky to be able to try them in Subway!
After a massive success of its pig in a blanket sub – the Tiger Sub – Subway has released a vegan version of this festive sandwich. Called P.I.B., which stands for Plants In Blankets, the sandwich is packed with delicious 'meaty' flavour. It is made with smoky 'bacon-like' notes and a sweet maple syrup glaze and is served with Heinz Tomato Ketchup.
The company spent months developing the entirely vegan P.I.B. Sub.
Like Subway subs, the plant-based item is fully customisable, which means you can have it as a 6-inch sub, footlong, wrap or salad.
The vegan sandwich joins Subway's extensive plant-based menu, including the Meatless Meatball Marinara, Plant Patty, T.L.C. (Tastes Like Chicken.), Vegan CheeZe Toasted Bite, Hash Browns, Potato Crispers, Vegan Double Choc Cookie and a line of sauces including vegan garlic aioli.
The new vegan offering is available exclusively in-store for a limited time (while stock lasts) across the West Midlands.
