Subway has expanded its plant-based menu with two delicious additions right in time for Veganuary. The chain launched a vegan ‘T.L.C.’ (Tastes Like Chicken) sandwich, and a vegan double chocolate cookie.
The vegan chicken alternative used in the T.L.C Sub is made from soy-based protein. The plant-based meat is designed and cooked using a secret recipe to replicate the taste of Subway's roast chicken strips,
You can also add vegan cheese slices to your sandwich.
"Our new plant-based T.L.C. Sub will delight both our vegan and non-vegan fans – we’ve created a product that tastes so much like our flavour-full chicken breast strips, guests will be surprised it’s not the real thing," said Angelina Gosal, head of marketing UK & Ireland at Subway.
"With our new additions, we now have one of the biggest and tastiest plant-based menus on the high street, to offer you even more choice."
Those with a sweet-tooth can also order a new delicious gooey chocolate cookie. The vegan treat is designed to taste exactly like Subway’s original double chocolate cookie. It can be ordered as a single cookie or in a box of three or twelve.
