Starbucks Hong Kong is enriching its green menu with sustainable fish alternative product from OmniFoods.
After the successful OmniFoods’ debuts in Starbucks Philippines and Mainland China, it's time for Hong Kong!
Starbucks Hong Kong has recently unveiled its new vegan menu item created in, collaboration with OmniFoods - Asian leader in plant-based meat category.
OmniFoods is dedicated to creating innovative plant protein alternatives, including the world-renowned OmniPork.
It is the third partnership between the foodtech company and the world’s largest coffee chain.
The brand-new menu addition features plant-based seafood from the newest OmniSeafood range.
Thai Style New Crab Cake Salad contains Omni Crab Cake with mixed lettuce, pumpkin, tomato and fresh pomelo pulp, making it a well-balanced and delicious meal choice for all.
Commenting on the collaboration, David Yeung, the founder and CEO of OmniFoods, said: “We are thrilled to have Starbucks Hong Kong to be one of our first OmniSeafood launch partners. Besides the exciting menu item we are introducing, we trust this is the beginning of raising awareness that ocean preservation and reduction of seafood consumption should be high on everyone’s agenda in terms of combating climate change and ensuring food security for the planet.”
Previously, the companies collaborated on creating special menu items in Starbucks Philippines and Mainland China. OmniPork is featured in dishes such as BBQ Mochi Bun, Mince Roll and Classic Lasagna are on menu at Starbucks Philippines and GG Double Flavoured Wrap served in Starbucks China, while OmniPork Truffle Focaccia and Omni Luncheon Cuba Sandwiches are exclusively served in Starbucks Greener Store Lab in Shanghai where more than 50% of its menu are plant-based dishes.
