Sainsburys Launches Vegan Meat Range

Sainsburys has become the latest UK supermarket to launch a vegan meat range!

They will be stocking their vegan meat range, burgers and mince, in the meat section of their supermarkets to encourage customers who would otherwise purchase meat to make more ethical choices and purchase the plant-based meat instead. This tactic has worked very well for US plant-based company, Beyond Meat, who have advised that their plant-based patty is outselling beef in some stores.

According to The Guardian, Sainsbury's has introduced this range to 'capitalize not only on the burgeoning vegan market but also those, who enjoy meat but want to reduce their meat consumption.’ 

The products, burgers and mince, will be stocked in 400 stores nationwide from June 27th.
