Purezza, the vegan Italian pizzeria in London, has opened a new restaurant to keep up with demand. The new location in Camden is now three times the size it was originally, and it is believed to be 'one of the biggest vegan restaurants in the UK'.

The new venue is built with recycled and eco-friendly materials, has an extended bar and a garden with live plants. The plaster on the walls is made with hemp, and the lighting uses reclaimed materials.    The site uses furniture repurposed from its previous restaurant and discarded items from other venues.  The furniture features vegan leather and inner foam made from recycled plastic bottles. Some seating and the doors are sourced from an old chapel.

Purezza co-founder, Tim Barclay, said: "Our flagship London restaurant had been struggling to keep up with demand throughout 2019. The single biggest complaint we receive is that it's almost impossible to get a table most nights. "It's a good problem to have but providing exceptional customer experiences is one of our core tenets at Purezza, and by tripling the size of our Camden restaurant, we'll be able to meet the demand."    The new site officially opened on Monday.

Purezza was founded in 2015 with the first location in Brighton & Hove. The restaurant makes pizzas using 100% vegan ingredients, including its own range of vegan cheese. The company is now developing a plant-based cheese factory.  Purezza won the National Pizza of the Year award 2018 in the UK, and a top prize at the Campionato Mondiale Della Pizza (World Pizza Championship) held in Parma, Italy.
