UK's leading plant-based food brand, Meatless Farm, has been named as a Rising Star in the 2021 Deloitte UK Technology Fast 50.
UK's leading plant-based food brand, Meatless Farm, has been named as a Rising Star in the 2021 Deloitte UK Technology Fast 50, a ranking of the 50 fastest-growing technology companies in the UK.
Founded in 2016 by Danish entrepreneur, Morten Toft Bech, to help reduce the world’s dependency on intensively farmed meats. He and his family had struggled to find a meat replacement that the whole family enjoyed and that wasn’t expensive.
Today, the Leeds-based company is already one of Europe's fastest growing plant-based brands, available in over 20 countries with major retail and foodservice partners.
The Deloitte Technology Fast 50 is one of the UK’s foremost technology awards programmes, celebrating innovation and entrepreneurship. The Rising Star recognises the innovation and achievements of UK technology businesses who are leading the way but either have not yet been operating for four years or do not meet the Tech Fast 50 Y1 revenue threshold.
Morten Toft Bech, Founder of Meatless Farm, says: “It’s fantastic for a food company to be recognised as one of the fastest-growing UK tech companies. Meatless Farm has always strived to help shape a new global food system by democratising plant-based food and by taking the heat out of the veggie vs meat eater debate. Our rapid growth is underpinned by new technology and innovation and shows that when we get it right we can inspire millions of people to change how they think about food.”
Meatless Farm is on a quest to help regenerate our environment by reducing the world’s meat consumption. The company makes delicious and nutritious plant-based meat alternatives. Its range included plant-based mince, burgers, hot-dogs and sausages - all of them are available to buy online from The Vegan Kind Supermarket.
On average Meatless Farm's products use 90% less land and 70-80% less water than their meat counterparts and contribute to biodiversity.
