It is no secret that Piers Morgan freaks out whenever he hears about vegans and vegan food.

This morning, he had new reasons to go furious again - bakery chain Greggs announced expanding its vegan range.

Last year he called Greggs ‘PC-ravaged clowns’ when the vegan sausage roll was first launched. This time, he takes credit for the chain's success after it announced launching new vegan products.

On today’s Good Morning Britain TV show Piers Morgan went furious and yelled that the success of the vegan sausage roll was down to himself.    ‘My tweet [about the vegan sausage roll] broke the internet,’ he said.  ‘If you ask Greggs, they have attended marketing conferences worldwide that it was down to me.’    The co-host of the show Susanna Reid tried to calm him down but Piers was raging and didn't want to stop shouting. Instead, he offered a challenge to Greggs to go completely vegan just to prove his influence on the company's sales .

Here’s my thing to Greggs – go completely vegan. You can’t call them sausage rolls,’

‘Go completely gruel and vegan.’ - he yelled.

Earlier this year we witnessed a Twitter war of words between Greggs and Morgan.   ‘Trust me, no-one’s going to buy it.’ - Piers tweeted after Greggs launched the vegan patty. ‘Nobody was waiting for a vegan bloody sausage, you PC-ravaged clowns.’ - he wrote later.    Greggs then tweeted in response: ‘Oh hello Piers, we’ve been expecting you.’

‘Isn’t it time you changed your name to something more gender-fluid & less toxically masculine?’ In an act of defiance, he added: ‘Just ordered a large sausage roll on room service. A meat one. Real meat. The vegan resistance starts here.’ - Morgan continued.    Piers Morgan is known for his strong opinions against vegans and has a long history of loud anti-vegan debates on Good Morning Britain. On the other hand, it appears that he doesn't mind helping to promote vegan rolls again.
