Move away Gordon Ramsay and Jamie Oliver - Omari McQueen is the new celebrity chef!
The UK’s youngest chef Omari McQueen teamed up with plant-based meat maker Meatless Farm and backed the For Kids by Kids initiative.
The 13-year-old Omari McQueen has been a vegan since he was 8. He loves vegan food and is passionate about vegan cooking. He runs a popular YouTube chanel and a vegan cooking show ‘What’s Cooking Omari?’ on the BBC’s CBBC children’s channel. Last year, he published his first vegan cooking book.
Meatless Farm's new For Kids by Kids campaign aims to promote plant-based eating among kids. The initiative was created to help schools across the UK offer more plant-based meals in their canteens and cafeterias.
The first part of the campaign is dedicated to spread awareness and vegan education and the second part will focus on helping to create new menus with schools, including plant-based options.
The brand worked on the special content that will include vegan recipes, facts about plant-based diets and health tips, and will share it on a website and social media channels.
Omari commented on his latest collaboration with the plant-based meat company: “I am so excited to partner with Meatless Farm and to be able to share my love of cooking with such a forward-thinking brand.”
He added: “I am extremely passionate about the sustainability of food and teaching my generation more about where their food is sourced and the long-term environmental impact our food choices can have. I am so excited to partner with Meatless Farm and to be able to share my love of cooking with such a forward-thinking brand.”
