Oatly Is Launching New Ice Cream Flavour

Oat milk brand Oatly has just announced the launch of a new ice-cream flavour in the UK.

The Swedish brand added a delicious vanilla flavour to its dairy-free range.

The company describes it as ‘uncomplicated, chic, unpretentious. Amazing in its simplicity. Genius is what it is.’

The plant-based treat is made from oats instead of cow’s milk and saves the planet a lot of CO2.

Additionally, Oatly packs its ice-cream in a recyclable carton made of PEFC certified paperboard from sustainable forests.

The ice-cream range also includes Chocolate Fudge, Hazelnut Swirl, Salted Caramel, and Strawberry flavour -released earlier this year.

In the press release, Oatly wrote: “Joining our current indulgent range (Chocolate Fudge, Hazelnut Swirl and Salted Caramel – honestly, you couldn’t have missed it), is our new un-boringly simple Vanilla and definitely berry-spectacular Strawberry ice creams. And yes, of course they’re made from oats.”

In a statement sent to Vegan Food & Living, Ishen Paran, General Manager at Oatly UK commented: “These two new additions to our expanding range of ice cream will be sure to excite Oatly fans up and down the UK – we can’t wait to see how they react. We’re grateful to both Tesco and Ocado for providing us with wider nationwide availability.

We’re committed to providing the easiest ways for people to make the switch from dairy to oat, whilst protecting the planet in the process. What better way to do this than a delicious tub of oat-based ice cream?”
