The fully vegan cheesecake has delighted vegan chocolate fans. “I need this in my life”, one wrote, “Dear God – that looks wild” another one wrote, and “where the heck do I get one of them from?!” – another one added. In fact, many of the fans are re-creating the masterpiece at home.

The cake was created using NOMO’s award-winning Caramel Chocolate Bars to provide some creamy, gooey and sweet tasting deliciousness – and beautifully decorated with NOMO’s Creamy Choc Buttons to perfect the masterpiece.  

Flexi-Feb was launched by the UK’s number one vegan and free-from chocolate brand to encourage Brits to incorporate plant-based products into their diet and try a flexitarian diet for one month. 

NOMO’s research found that seven in 10 Brits say they could never go fully vegan for Veganuary. Yet, they were two times more likely to adopt a flexitarian diet, with a fifth considering or already going plant-based one day a week.   

A flexitarian diet is seen as a positive option as we become increasingly environmentally and ethically minded – which can either remain a lifestyle or be used as a stepping-stone to adopt a fully vegan way of life.  

Direct swaps – where non-vegan products are relinquished in favour of vegan alternatives – are being touted as an easy way to adopt a flexitarian lifestyle. With Brits most likely to have tried the vegan alternative for chocolate in the past year (38%), with one in five picking up a bar.  

 The overwhelming positive response to Pleesecakes’ NOMO cheesecake perfectly encapsulates just how easy and delicious it is to make these direct swaps – showing that a vegan diet does not mean missing out.

Last year, NOMO sold a mammoth 297.9 tonnes of chocolate, the equivalent weight of 24 double decker busses to help it record 52.8% growth in sales since 2020.
