The Pack is a new meat-free dog food brand that aims to keep your dogs and the planet healthy.
The Pack is a new meat-free dog food brand that aims to keep your dogs and the planet healthy.
The London-based brand offers sustainable wet dog food made entirely from plants.
The Pack's range consists of healthy vegan 'fish', 'chicken', or 'beef' flavours developed especially to be loved by your pups. The final products are the result of collaboration between pet nutrition experts, food scientists and technologists.
Dogs can thrive on a plant-based diet
Dogs, unlike cats, are omnivores and can be healthy on a plant-based diet. Even if you don't want your dog to eat strictly vegan food, it's worth it to feed it plant-based occasionally. The Pack dog food fulfil all your dog's nutritional needs.
It is made with natural products, such as vegetables, pulses seeds, and superfoods, including papaya, that helps promote a healthy gut microbiome. The products contain a blend of textured pea protein and lupin beans for the highest protein content.
The Pack dog food is rich in iron and fibre; it has a complete profile of plant-based amino acids, supplemented with extra methionine, taurine, and lysine, essential for a healthy dog. Wet dog food has more than 90 per cent digestibility, which was proven in in-vitro tests.
Sustainable dog food to fight against climate change
The compan founders Damien Clarkson and Judy Nadel say that with The Pack, they want to disrupt the pet food industry, which is responsible for producing more than 64 million tons of CO2 every year.
The start-up attracted investment from celebrities, including football players Chris Smalling, TV personality Rory Cowlam, Henry Firth and Ian Theasby of BOSH!
In a statement, Rory Cowlam said: "I'm very impressed by the rigorous research that THE PACK has put into its food's nutritional profile and production. Their awesome animal nutrition team has covered every dietary requirement for dogs.
"Pet parents can rest assured that including these plant-based meals in their dog's diet will offer nourishing variety that will help promote a good gut microbiome."
