Vegan burger chain backed by Lewis Hamilton is expanding to meet a growing demand for convenient and taste plant-based food.

Neat Burger is opening 7 new locations in London, including shops in Ealing, Victoria, Bishopsgate, Finsbury Park, on the King’s Road and at “two major shopping centres” which aren’t disclosed yet. Currently, it operates three existing London sites with a fourth confirmed this week for Canary Wharf. The company has plans for franchise expansion to Los Angeles, New York, and other cities around the world.

The chain claims to be first plant-based sustainable fast food chain and partnered with Eden Project to plant a tree for each burger sold.

In January 2021 Neat Burger launched, what is believe to be the UK's first ever plant-based fish burger.

Director of Neat Burger, Zack Bish, told Evening Standard: “A few years ago, most people would not have been that into the idea of a plant-based burger restaurant, and restaurants had one option on the menu to cater for the vegetarians. The fact that there is now such a high demand for a totally plant-based offering is really encouraging and exciting to us. Even meat-eaters are going out of their way to choose plant-based options as the awareness of the effect it has on the world grows and grows.”
