The Duchess of Sussex has backed a small women-founded wellness business which produces superfood lattes. Clevr Blends makes and sells instant coffee sachets. The range of lattes include flavours: chai, matcha, coffee and turmeric.
The company plans to use the funds to scale the business.
Oprah Winfrey, who is Meghan's neighbour in Montecito, engaged in helping her promote the brand. Winfrey, who is one of the richest women in the world, shared a video on her Instagram telling her 19.2 million followers she'd received a gift from "my neighbour M", adding a crown emoji to her post.
She wrote on her profile, "On the first day of Christmas my neighbor 'M' sent to me...a basket of deliciousness! (Yes that M) My new drink of choice for the morning and night. Wish I had @clevrblends sooner cause I would've added it to my Favorite Things list."
The news of Meghan's new investment was by Fortune today. In a statement, Meghan revealed she wanted to support companies led by women.
"This investment is in support of a passionate female entrepreneur who prioritises building community alongside her business," she said.
"I'm proud to invest in Hannah's commitment to sourcing ethical ingredients and creating a product that I personally love and has a holistic approach to wellness. I believe in her and I believe in her company."
