The new product aimed at flexitarian consumers mimics real chicken breast's look, texture, and flavour. The restaurant will be UK's first plant-based jerk chicken restaurant.
Plant-based meat producer Meatless Farm has launched a new product in the UK. The plant-based chicken breasts are now available nationwide, right in time for Veganuary.
A product aimed at flexitarian consumers mimics real chicken breast's look, texture, and flavour. The vegan chicken breasts are made with pea and wheat protein blend and contain no soy.It is rich in protein and can be a great alternative to replace chicken in many daily dishes.
These super realistic plant-based chicken breasts can be cooked on the pan, on the grill, served with pasta, salads, and in a sandwich. Thanks to their unbelievably chickeny taste and texture, the new product scooped Gold for Innovation at the Casual Dining Show 2021.

To celebrate this year's Veganuary, Meatless Farm has partnered with Dragon's Den star, Levi Roots, to launch the UK's first plant-based jerk chicken restaurant. Named The M***F*** Jerk Joint, the restaurant will open between 12-4 pm for three days (20th-22nd January) in Shoreditch, London. The vegan pop-up restaurant will serve two exclusive Levi Roots Caribbean recipes made using Meatless Farm's new plant-based Chicken Breast and Roots' famous Reggae Reggae Sauce.
Guests will be able to try a vegan take on a classic with the Meatless Jerk Chicken Rice-n-Peas or spice it up with Chunky Jerk Chicken-less Strips, available for free (until stocks last).
Replacing chicken with a plant-based alternative once a week can make a big difference for the planet.
According to Meatless Farm's recent environmental study carried out by researcher Joseph Poore from Oxford University, the UK can save 4.3 metric tonnes of CO2 (equivalent to 13 million flights to Malaga) by swapping just one chicken dish a week to a plant-based alternative.
Commenting on the collaboration, Levi Roots, said: "I'll be turning my all-time favourite classic dish of Jerk chicken, rice and peas plant-based with the help of Meatless Farm's new chicken breast and my Reggae Reggae sauce, and there'll be absolutely no compromise on taste with my delicious recipe.
Meatless Banh Mi"I'm excited to bring authentic Caribbean flavours to this classic dish plus a modern take on my jerk infused and meat free chunky chicken strips. It's not to be missed!"
Meatless Farm is also launching the 'Anyone Can Change the World' Veganuary campaign and inviting people with meaty surnames to get VIP treatment.
Suppose you're a Mr. or Miss Chicken, Beef, Ham or Bacon. In that case, you can become 'meatless' and attend an exclusive launch party before the restaurant opens to the public and meet Levi Roots (just send a message to the company).
Morten Toft-Bech, Founder of Meatless Farm, said: "A small change of swapping one meat meal a week to plant-based can make a huge difference and we are helping people do that with the launch of the UK's first plant-based jerk chicken restaurant with Levi Roots. His dishes will be a treat for everyone's tastebuds this Veganuary."
