In honour of our TVK advertisement going live on London Underground (yay!) we present you with our favourite vegan eateries in London!

A few weeks ago we took our vegan food enthusiastic TVK selves to London for a long weekend and we’re not going to even try to kid you or ourselves here, of course each day was planned around the food. And DAMN were we well fed. We had originally planned to blog about our favourite 5 vegan-friendly eateries we visited in London, but who are we kidding we visited around 5 each day and so we present you with our 10 incredible vegan-friendly eateries!

Temple of Hackney

When we heard that a vegan fried chicken shop was opening in London we were excited; when we saw the pictures of people queuing for the chicken on its opening day, we were ecstatic! We were certainly not disappointed, the food was out of this world delicious. Pictured here we have the Hot Wings, Mac ‘n’ Cheese, Popcorn Bites; Coleslaw; Fries; and Chicken Burger. The hype is real guys; the hype is real.

Big V London

Taking one for the vegan foodshare team, Eve, our Customer Communications Expert & Social Media Manager, presents the incredible Classic V Facon Cheeseburger at Hackney Downs Vegan Market from vegan pop-up burger extraordinaires: Big V London. Established in 2006 and going 100% vegan in 2016, Big V London has established quite the name for themselves and we can certainly see why!

Vida Bakery

How beautiful is this rainbow cake from lovely vegan bakers Vida Bakery? Almost too beautiful to eat! Almost. Vida Bakery, we bow down to you.

What The Pitta

Behold the taste sensation that is the What The Pitta kebab, who we were delighted to visit at the Hackney Downs Vegan Market after hearing rave reviews! Just a few weeks ago, What The Pitta was nominated for the Best British Kebab 2018 which not only shows how mainstream veganism is becoming, but also just how delicious this kebab was!

Café SoVegan

We are Mac n Cheese enthusiasts over here at TVK and this Mac n Cheese topped with crispy onions from Café SoVegan at Hackney Downs Vegan Market was deliciously smokey.

Cookies & Scream

(Image)

Cookies, cookie ice cream sandwiches, doughnuts… Have you mapped out your journey to Cookies & Scream yet or should we go on? Cakes, hot chocolate…BOOM! You’ve mapped it, haven’t you? We went for the ice cream cookie sandwich and peanut butter chocolate doughnut and both were delicious!

Tibits

(Image)

Tibits: where vegan foodie dreams come true. A self-serving, pay-by-weight veggie restaurant with many delicious vegan options, Tibits is a must when visiting London! We’re not even sure we can tell you each food item on this plate, because we piled on everything which was labelled vegan (and we’re so glad we did), but examples include dhal, noodle salad, baba ghanoush, Asian slaw and mince pastries.

Yorica

(Image)

Would you judge us if we told you that we planned our last day in London around the opening times of vegan ice cream parlour Yorica!? It was totally worth it. We went for a double scoop of vanilla brownie and cookies & cream ice cream with caramel sauce and topped with strawberries and we complimented said ice cream at least five times during our eating of it.

Brick Lane Boiler House Market

(Image)

We were very excited when we came across a vegetarian/vegan Ethopian food stall at the Market! Guys, the food was incredible.

Hutch

(Image)

We were also delighted to discover okra fries with garlic mayo from vegan business, Hutch! Crispy and more-ish, our only regret is that we didn't go back for seconds.

London is a vegan food haven and we will definitely be returning to sample more delicious food. Recommendations always welcome! Team TVK x
