llchester Vegan Won Gold Award In International Cheese Awards 2022

Plant-based cheese, the Ilchester Vegan Melting Mature has scooped the Gold Award in the Dairy-Free Cheese Alternative category in the prestigious International Cheese Awards 2022 organised in Staffordshire.

Ilchester Vegan Melting Mature is produced by cheese giant Norseland. The vegan cheese launched in summer 2021. Shortly after its launch, the Independent, described it as the “best vegan melting cheese on the market.”

The award-winning Applewood Vegan (also produced by Norseland), a vegan alternative to smoky cheese, won the Silver Award Dairy Free Cheese Alternative in the category ‘Cheese – any variety that contains savoury additives’.

Commenting on the awards, Lisa Harrison, Marketing Manager for Ilchester and Applewood, said: “This is the first award for Ilchester’s first-ever plant-based cheeze and what an award to win!
