Joaquin Phoenix and Rooney Mara Join Beyond Meat's Feed A Million+ Pledge

World's most famous vegan activists Joaquin Phoenix and Rooney Mara have announced their partnership with Beyond Meat for its Feed a Million+ campaign.

The actors appeared together in a video to reveal their collaboration with the plant-based meat producer.

They will receive free vegan meals that they will distribute to those in need through three Los Angeles-based organisations: Midnight Mission, Urban School Food Alliance and My Friend's Place.

"We're so grateful to partner with Beyond Meat's Feed a Million campaign to support individuals and communities experiencing food insecurity," Joaquin says in the video.

"For the next several weeks, the Feed a Million campaign will be donating hundreds of hot meals to some of our favourite organisations that provide emergency services to so many people," Rooney added. And she also thanked "all the essential workers and volunteers around the country" who have been working hard during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Beyond Meat's Feed a Million+ initiative t was launched in April. The company is donating its plant-based meat products to food banks across the US.

The campaign is supported by celebrity ambassadors including Kevin Hart, Snoop Dogg, Jewel, Karlie Kloss, Karolina Kurkova, Ludacris and Ashanti among others.
