Actor and musician Jaden Smith has partnered with sneaker brand New Balance to create vegan shoes. Sneakers named Vision Racer blend Jaden's bold unique fashion style and attitude.
The shoes are made with recycled materials: a polyester base and a vegan leather upper. The first pair debuts in colour called “Wavy Baby Blue.”
The sneakers will be priced at $150, and they will be available from July 24.
“As an iconic change-maker, Jaden exemplifies the New Balance brand philosophy of fearless independence,” said New Balance in a statement.
“His convention-defying work in fashion and music, coupled with his dedication to philanthropy and environmental awareness, speak to larger global issues and how they impact his generation.”
Jaden Smith is a renowned vegan lifestyle advocate and philanthropist. Earlier this year, he launched his own vegan food truck to deliver free vegan meals to people in need around the city of Los Angeles.
