Vegan Greggs fans rejoice! The bakery chain is adding a new plant-based sausage breakfast roll to its menu following the success of Greggs’ vegan sausage roll and vegan steak bake.
The company said its trialling a new vegan product at “very small number” of shops before rolling it out to more stores later this year.
A few locations are testing the breakfast bap which is bread roll with two Quorn vegan sausages.
The new vegan offering will cost from £1.90.
The chain also plans to roll out a new vegan ham and cheese baguette but hasn't confirmed the date of the launch.
The baguette will feature Quorn's plant-based ham and vegan cheddar slices.
Commenting on the new product Greggs spokesperson told Teesside Live: “Over the coming weeks we’ll be trialling our delicious Vegan Ham and Cheeze Baguette and Vegan Sausage Breakfast Roll in a very small number of shops, with a wider launch planned for later in the year.”
