High street bakery chain Greggs is adding two new vegan option to its menu pretty soon, following the huge success of their vegan sausage roll.
The chain is releasing plant-based versions of ham and cheese baguettes and sausage breakfast baps.
The news were revealed by Vegan Food UK on social media. The group posted images of the new treats on their Instagram last week.
On one of the posts, the caption reads: “Our insiders tell us the new baguette is launching in the next week or two."
A few hours later, in another post they added: “Vegan Sausage Breakfast Rolls coming soon to Greggs."
Today, Greggs confirmed the news to Metro journalist.
"Over the coming weeks we’ll be trialling our delicious Vegan Ham and Cheeze Baguette and Vegan Sausage Breakfast Roll in a very small number of shops, with a wider launch planned for later in the year," Greggs spokesperson told the media outlet.
According to the website, the vegan sausage bap will be made with Quorn, while the ham and cheese baguette will feature vegan cheddar cheese and Quorn.
The company didn't reveal which shops will be testing the new options first.
