Vegan chocolate is mainstream now! Its popularity has been growing among all the consumers, regardless if they are vegan or not. Although many brands are catering to fulfil this high demand and they offering dark and vegan milk chocolate, the white version is rather hard to find.
We've got some good news for all the fans: No more missing out on vegan white chocolate!
Remember the excitement back in 2020, when Galaxy launched vegan chocolate for the first time?
At the time, the brand released three dairy-free flavours: Caramelised Hazelnut, Caramel & Sea Salt and Smooth Orange (all available to buy online at The Vegan Kind). Then, they added two amazing new flavours to the range: Crumbled Cookie and Smooth Mint!
This month, Mars, the owner company of Galaxy, announced they were launching a white version of their hit chocolate bars.
It's the first-ever vegan white chocolate bar for Galaxy, and to make sure all the ingredients are animal-friendly the product has been certified by the Vegan Society.
The packaging is also eco-friendly as it's made from compostable film packaging and wood fibre, both of which can be composted at home.
Commenting on the launch in 2020, Kerry Cavanaugh, marketing director at Mars Wrigley UK, said: "We're so excited to be bringing these delicious treats to Galaxy's range using a vegan recipe that doesn't compromise on the brand's signature smooth and creamy characteristics.
"Wherever you look you can't avoid the vegan buzz in the UK. Even though vegan treats are currently only worth £10 million in a £4 billion chocolate market, we think that by introducing Galaxy, one of the UK's best-known brands, there is a huge opportunity for the category to grow."
Abigail Stevens, the trademark marketing manager at the Vegan Society, added: "We're proud to register Galaxy's first-ever non-dairy milk chocolate bars with our vegan trademark. The brand has demonstrated that dairy is not necessary to make great tasting chocolate and that people can still enjoy their favourites without the use of animals."
The Galaxy white vegan chocolate bar will be available at The Vegan Kind soon. You can find the whole range of Galaxy vegan bars here (click the link).
