Food giant Mars is expanding its range of vegan Galaxy chocolate bars with two new flavours.
Galaxy Vegan Smooth Mint and Galaxy Vegan Crumbled Cookie will be priced at £3.
The Galaxy Vegan Smooth Mint is made with rich cocoa and peppermint oil blended with almond cream to combine mint with creamy chocolate.
The Galaxy Vegan Crumbled Cookie bar offers is made with rich cocoa and cookie pieces blended with creamy hazelnut paste.
The company uses rice syrup and hazelnut paste instead of dairy to make its range vegan.
The bars come in a fully compostable packaging: wood fibre film and cardboard boxes.
Mars Chocolate Drinks & Treats GM Michelle Frost, told The Grocer: “[We’re ] delighted to extend our range to offer more consumers more choice”. The “bright eye-catching packaging creates real on-shelf standout to attract new consumers to the category”.
The new products will join the existing range and roll out nationwide by the end of September.
