Domino's Has Launched Two New Vegan Pizzas
It's official! Pizza restaurant chain Domino's has launched two new vegan pizzas in the UK.
The new vegan options include vegan Margherita and vegan Vegi Supreme.
Margherita is made with tomato sauce and Domino's vegan cheese while Vegi Supreme features mushrooms, onions, sweetcorn, green and red peppers and tomatoes.
Customers can modify them with any other vegan-friendly topping.
The pizzas are available in a medium-size and come with Domino's vegan barbecue dip.
The new flavours are on trial at 46 locations across the UK and Ireland from today. They can be ordered through the brand's website and delivery app.
It took Domino's over a year to develop the new plant-based flavours. They tested the first vegan pizza version in 2018 but decided the dough needed improvement. The food innovation team at Domino's think that now they have finally 'nailed it'.
Aman Prasher, Domino's Chief Vegan Dough Developer, said: "Our vegan offering has been a while coming because we're determined to make sure it's full of our iconic Domino's flavour. We might not be first but we're always the best – no compromises.
"Our dedicated pizza chefs are incredibly excited for our fans to try this new and improved latest dough as we believe we've nailed it.
"If they agree, and love it as much as we do, Domino's will roll out nationwide. We've now busy working on some toppings and sides -so watch this space!"
