Britain’s Youngest Vegan Chef Omari McQueen To Publish His First Cookbook

12-year-old vegan chef Omari McQueen will release his first cookbook featuring 30 of his easy and delicious plant-based recipes. 

Omari McQueen’s Best Bites Cookbook will be published in January 2021. 

“I don’t want animals to die or be eaten, so I teach people my age to be vegan,” the young chef replied when asked why he is so passionate about promoting vegan food.

The boy, who went vegan at the age of seven is a renowned entrepreneur. He owns a vegan brand Dipalicous and the Caribbean inspired restaurant.

He created the brand when he was eight years old after starting a YouTube channel where he shared videos of himself making a vegan pizza served with his own Caribbean Kick sauce. In 2019 Omari launched a Dipalicious pop restaurant in Croydon where he served his most popular dishes.

McQueen announced the news on Instagram and thanked all of his supporters for making his new initiative possible. 

He wrote: “I am so excited to announce that my first published book will be out in January. I would like to thank everyone for all your love, support, and encouragement. I would also like to say thank you to the one and only @oscarjansonsmith you have had my back for years, you believed in me from the beginning and @krugercowne, @scholastic_uk for giving me a chance to share my passion to the world.”

“Mummy and daddy, you’re the best a boy like me could have. Thank you to my siblings and family for being you—perfect 100 percent,” he added.

The book will be published by media company Scholastic UK.
