The famous cheese company is launching its first-ever plant-based option in respond to growing consumer demand in the UK.
The new Boursin Plant-Based Garlic and Herbs was inspired by Boursin’s original dairy cream cheese. The spreadable vegan product contains coconut oil base combined with garlic, chives and parsley.
Announcing the launch, the company wrote on its website: “Please your guests with something extraordinary, with this delicious combination of flavorful garlic, fragrant parsley, and chives, cold-blended in a dairy-free base made from high quality coconut oil to create a deliciously smooth cheese spread alternative.”
Boursin Dairy-Free cream cheese is perfect with crackers and artisan bread. It can also be used in many vegan recipes such as pastas sauces, mashed potatoes, tarts and pastries.
At the moment, the Boursin vegan spread is available in select supermarkets and will roll-out nationwide in February 2022.
