Billie Eilish Says She “Failed At Fostering” And Adopts A Puppy

In her latest post on Instagram, Billie Eilish wrote that she “failed at fostering”. 

The 18-year-old vegan singer said she didn’t want to give back one of the pit bull puppies she has been fostering during the quarantine period. 

Instead, Billie decided to adopt the grey puppy, who she called her “nameless little monkey.” 

The other puppy she was taking care of was adopted by someone else. 

The singer presented the puppies to her fans last month. She posted on Instagram: “If you’re looking for things to do while we’re all stuck at home, foster some babies. ” 

Both doggies were taken from Los Angeles-based dog rescue Angel City Pit Bulls.

The singer's family engage in helping the vegan community during the coronavirus crisis.

Billie’s mom, who is also a vegan Maggie Baird launched the Support + Feed initiative to support vegan restaurants and feed those in need during the COVID-19 pandemic. 

 “This started from our family’s concern for the many wonderful, small, plant-based restaurants in LA during this very challenging time. We wanted to support them, and at the same time support people who are in need right now,” Baird said. 

“The benefits of a plant-based diet are extremely well documented as being the healthiest, not only for individuals but in the fight to prevent the climate crisis. Of course and importantly, it is also cruelty-free. We wanted not only to support the incredible restaurants that are promoting this way of eating, but also believe that plant-based food would be the healthiest, most nutritious (and safest) food we could provide to those in need.”
