Aldi Has Launched Frozen Vegan Steak Bake

You can now buy a vegan steak bake at Aldi and enjoy at your home.   

Aldi has created its own version of a vegan 'steak bake' - similar to the one from Greggs.

The vegan meat-free pastry perfectly mimics the appearance and taste of a classic steak bake.

The filling is made using soy protein and is stuffed in a crispy and flaky vegan pastry using a blend of vegetable oils.

The No Steak Bake costs just £1.19 for a pack of two, and it's much cheaper than the Greggs original which is £1.55 for one.

You'll find the new vegan product in the freezer section of Aldi supermarkets across the country. 

Aldi says the "end result is so delicious, you definitely won't miss the real thing."

Aldi hopes that the range will appeal to anyone looking to reduce their meat intake, as well as to those following a plant-based diet - especially now as Greggs remains closed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
